It’s not full stack, call it as A FULLSTACK DEVELOPER FOCUSED FRONTEND or A FULLSTACK DEVELOPER FOCUSED BACKEND

To the all developers(2010–2020) in enterprise apps, from era of development with “HTML,CSS,JS,JSP+anybackend” till today development with “frontendframework(ANGULAR/REACT..etc)+anybackend”.

Back then the frontend technologies were not huge as todays. Being a specialized full stack was easy with “HTML,CSS,JS,JSP+anybackend framework STRUTS/SPRING/.NET..etc.”. But Today with improved features, increased complexity, depth of the frontend framework such as Angular,React..etc, it is not easy to be a full stack. A full stack dev should have strong understanding of FRONTENDFRAMEWORK+WEBSERVICES+A BACKENDFRAMEWORK+DATABSE+CICD. As each technology/framework has its own concepts& implementation ways, the learning scale has become very large, that left the full stack developer under pressure and made becoming T shaped developer more difficult. (A T shaped developer is one with deep level skills in one area and broad understanding of other)

Hence in my view — Today one should be either

A FULLSTACK DEVELOPER FOCUSED FRONTEND-[a STRONG frontend framework+ good understanding of backend+webservices+Database+CICD+OS]

or

A FULLSTACK DEVELOPER FOCUSED BACKEND -[a STONRG backend framework+good understanding of Frontend+webservices+Database+CICD+OS]

This stack would make a developer confident, specialist in respective area. Encourage to follow best principle and practices.
